Our mission is to take the stress out of planning student travel, allowing educators to focus on their students instead of logistics. We provide personalized support every step of the way and are always ready to help with needs that extend beyond the trip itself, ensuring a smooth and worry-free experience from start to finish.
The People Behind Our Success
Melanie began her professional career as a band director. She spent nine years teaching middle school students and then taught high school bands for her final two years. While her band programs won many awards, her favorite activity was taking students beyond the classroom to new destinations. Creating Superior in 2007 has been a lifelong effort, but seeing the impact the trips have on students is her greatest accomplishment.
Greg officially began working at Superior Travel and Tour in 2018; however, he had spent years before that assisting Melanie with all things Superior. Most groups know him as “Green Light Greg.” While he is rarely in the office, he is easy to spot on the road. He still assists with trip planning and logistics, but he spends more time with tour directors and guides to help each trip run efficiently, with joy, laughter, and memories.
Shane is a CPA and retired accounting and finance executive with a long career in the media industry. Since joining the company in 2024, he has provided operational support and served as a tour director. He also works closely with school music directors to create memorable travel experiences for their students.
Jesse was an Orange County Public Schools middle school theatre teacher for 11 years. He was recognized as a county finalist for Teacher of the Year, in part for his work in bringing his students to New York City. He worked with Superior Travel and Tour as an educator and is ecstatic about bringing you and your group the same quality of experience. He brings complete dedication to his clients by ensuring that teachers and staff can focus on creating the best memories for students while he handles the details. Based in Orlando, Jesse can attend in-person and virtual meetings and provide world-class customer service. He is very familiar with OCPS policies, procedures, and forms, and will be an invaluable resource for you and your team!

Melanie is a former middle and high school band director with 11 years of teaching experience. After serving as Director of Sales for a student travel company, she created a business focused on delivering professional, detail-oriented travel planning for student groups.
